‘I pray that you don’t hate us for this song. Thank you.’

Song Name: ‘Drastic Insignificance’
Reviewer: Satire
Song Writer: James Jameson
Song Type: Rock: Hard
In a classic riff on what could have been a very derivative sounding song, On Wings carries off a tribute to none other than God, slashing and burning their way to a cacophonous ending. And no it’s not a Christian song. These guys are far from being Christians as far as I can see. And the lyrics in this 5 minute opera might surprise you “Dance you Horned Partner of Plastic Doom. Your’s is the rising Sun we seek to devour.” Very pro-environmentalist (>?<)
The totally fantastical lyrical story that the singer weaves with his falsetto and hand claps does not, thankfully, eclipse the masterful melodies that lead guitarist, Tim Larryworth draws out from his Fender sounding rig. The rhythmn section is no slouch either with 6 string bass foundations carrying the tune through its darker, louder more intense moments. You can’t sleep when this music is on. I found it to be a very short 5 minutes.
That’s not to say you will. Normally this kind of music reminds me of Mortal Kombat® and stepping through muddy gore, and you may experience that too. I leave it up to you. Again, we shall dance soon shall we again.
