There is no one named Fred in the band is the first thing you need to know. And why do you need to know that? Fred is the name of the band’s current release and its about a girl named Fred and there are only guys in this band. Second thing is, Blue Balls is a great song.
The tune starts with a slowly building acoustic guitar voicing dominant seventh chords one bitter tone after the other and begins to mellow out into what will surely become a family classic around certain campfires. With banjo lyrics twanging superior loss scenarios around ever resolving verse sequences the chorus stands out as the band wales on about drug abuse and fast cars. It’s a summer banger if you like the likes of ‘Wanna Be Sedated’ and ‘California Sun’
